College On Line

I know Information Technology is offered through online classes and Computer Science degrees are offered through a traditional college learning setting. I was wondering if there is a difference as far as curriculum.

I have a competition tomorrow and I would like to study, but in a different way than just using the books. could someone plz help me out? thanks
I am looking for Java specifically. What i am searching for are games or simple activities that can help me study.
